New Meteorite just landed in Paris

Have been contemplating an all diamond face (not bezel) WG day-date for a while to add to the collection but always felt it could be a little over the top. While on vacation in Paris last week I went into a Rolex store in Place Vendome looking for such a watch, the saleswoman showed me this instead and the rest is history. Perfectly elegant without the heavy bling notwithstanding the diamond markers. Name: 20200102_100243.jpg

Congratulations! Meteorite is extremely tough to photograph well to begin with. Stunning to the eye though!

Looks lovely and an iconic model.

I don't know my Rolex models terribly well - is that white gold? I'd love to see one in the metal, I'll bet it has a lovely weight.

Wonderful piece and great pick up. Congrats and thanks for sharing!

Is that the 40mm or 36mm version. Looks like a 40, but somewhat difficult to tell

Sorry for the crappy photos. I'll try and get better ones over the weekend.

It is indeed the 40.

Such a top end piece. I’m envious, bet others are as well. Nicely done!

Big congrats!
Thanks.

Never saw one before and, frankly, never really knew Rolex offered a meteorite dial or if I did, never paid much attention. Even though I have several different models, shows how limited my knowledge is of specific dial options. This came as a complete surprise to me. As soon as I put it on, I knew it was exactly what I was looking for! Under certain lighting, in conjunction with the diamond markers, the entire dial does "light up" but in a very classy, understated manner.

This happened strictly by accident. Never intended to buy ANY watches whatsoever. Wife went into Marais with the kids, I stuck around the hotel, took a walk on St Honore, veered off to the Vendome into the jewelry stores there and voila - here it is on my wrist!!
