Apologies to All

Dear All,

All of you fine TRF members are a good back-up second family to me. I have missed you all

I went backwards there for a while and I am now recovering and back on that same path that I was treading before. I had some major medication issues, but things seem to be better now. I was not myself for a while there and it was hard to deal with.

Just wanted to say I missed you all.

Nice to have you back Oscar. No need to apologize. I am a recovered alcoholic with close to thirty years of sobriety. I have definitely had my fair share of demons in my life. I wish you nothing but the best with no judgments or stigma placed upon you for being human.

Hang in there.

Great to have you back, Michael! We all have "issues" of one form or another. No apologies necessary, brother.

Michael,

I hope you know that seeing your own issues, dealing effectively with them and admitting mistakes are actually indicators of your own internal strength and integrity. Dan is right - no apologies needed here. Being human means we are susceptible to life's vagaries. Continuing success with your recovery and thanks for sharing. Faith

Thanks everyone for all the kind words. I am still off work and all bills are being met by my Work Cover Insurer which is good. Fingers crossed, I am hoping my two witch doctors look at getting me back to work on a 'return to work plan' perhaps late April or May. I have been off work since mid Oct later year.

I have not been sitting around idle and dwelling on things. I have been undertaking some great out-patient day programs at the private hospital that I was admitted to last year.

I am just about to complete one 12 week program that covers a multitude of therapies that help people like me. I am still presently attending a 'mindfulness' program which is really great.

Very soon I'll be starting on another course addressing CBT and this course lasts for 20 weeks.

Some days it has been a struggle to get out of bed and attend these one day courses, but it is far better that I am at the course while I am having an off day.

Things are great at home between Gill and I. Gill now has a better understanding of what I am going through and knows when to help me and when I am okay. Gill has been my rock too.

I do owe some very personal and humble apologies to certain TRF members for dropping off the face of the earth there for a while. I just wanted to be alone. It's difficult to explain, but having you guys/gals as a back-up is wonderful.

Many Thanks,
Michael

Michael.

You have nothing to apologise for...not one bit of guilt old pal so don't beat yourself up...you've been through personal Hell and come out the other side and I'm sure many here respect and commend you for it.

You are one of the forum's brightest stars!!!!!

Keep safe and keep Gill smiling!!!!!!

Your Buddy

The cool thing about TRF is that you can come and go whenever it feels right. It's always good to hear from you and get your updates, Michael.

I'm really glad you're checking in to keep us informed. It's also good that you recognize that your friends here are always ready to welcome you back. Take care of yourself first and thank the stars for your excellent wife. You're blessed.
As always, great having you here.

Michael, we haven't met but taking care of health issues should always be priority one. You must always look out for yourself or you are no good to anyone including your loved ones!!!
Stay positive and issues always have a way of working themselves out!!!

*Ahem* Some linguistic idiosyncrasies need to be obseved here, Ashley. The meaning of the word "rooting" in Australian patois could cause some awkward moments.

Great to have you back and posting, Michael.

More importantly, glad to see you've made such an amazing recovery from your traumatic nightmare.
