JLC MUT Perpetual - Update in 2020?

Does anyone here know if the MUT perpetual will be getting a movement update this year? From what I understand, the enamel run from 2019 is carrying a "868A/2", whereas standard production models are still on an "868/1". Besides some visual/layout changes, the 868A/2 seems to have a much longer power reserve (according to Hodinkee) from 38->70, which is relevant on a perpetual calendar. As I am currently in a market for one of these (non-enamel) I was wondering if anyone more knowledgeable might know of any news or predictions regarding this. Thanks.

Not heard anything about this on the vine. Which version of the MUTP were you looking for?

Steel with black dial. The only thing keeping me from buying is the thought that a movement upgrade with substantial power reserve was introduced into the line, albeit in a limited run of a different metal and style.

I walked into an AD a week ago looking for a master date, and I was told that they had discontinued the master date. I kind of think that it was dealer bs, however if it is true then the two may be related.

Perhaps get a second hand one for the moment? And track the 2021 release from JLC...
