Hublot Ceramic Big Bang

Any thoughts on this watch? I really think it's a great looking piece on the SS/Ceramic bracelet.

This is NOT my pic

I know a number of Big Bang owners, and they are all very happy with the watches. They are very comfortable. The attentiveness of the president of the company--post with your new watch on the Timezone Hublot forum, and he'll send you a handwritten note with a warranty extension--along with the build quality, and you have IMO a winning combination.

Joe- hang on before buying, IMO. Right now, they're using Hub-44 movement, which is essentially an Eta 7750 with a tungsten rotor. But like any other brand trying to save face (including Breitling), they will be going to more in-house components (like in their rattrapantes and Big Bang Kings) and the value of older movement Hublots will drop. Between you and I, if you have sources, you can get some of these regular 44.5mm Hublots for over 30% off new, more off for used.

Have to admit, i do like the Hublot BBs, yes i know they're basically an ETA movement in a nice shiny case, but it's got the look i like and i guess that's important, maybe once they move to in-house i'll get one, the ceramic one above looks nice, except for the bracelet which i'm not too impressed with, although it looks like a bit of thought and time went into it.

I read something unbelievable on another forum today posted by Hublot CEO JC Biver. Don't want to link to another forum, but a customer had the same problem with an indicator falling off of the bezel twice, the watch was a wedding gift from his wife. He posted his problem with pictures and how upset he was.

CEO Bivers response

"I am nearly as disappointed as you are. Believe me, I am touched in my deepest part of my heart and cannot resist making you the best offer I ever made to someone.
Not only will we repair your watch, believe me that we will make it work (if not, we would not be in business anymore). But furthermore I would like to offer to your wife a Big Bang 38mm in steel with diamonds
I will also send you my special hand written and extended guarantee till end of 2015 for both your wife’s watch but also of course your Big Bang King
I am copying the person in charge of Hublot at the Hour Glass and she will follow up the repair of your watch and the present to your wife
I hope that you will be happy with my offer and will soon recover the pleasure and emotion of wearing a Hublot.
You have an open invitation to visit our factory and to have dinner with your wife and my wife in my home.
See you soon I hope and all the best"

Never seen a CEO take such a hands on approach. First Class in my opinion. This makes me want to buy one of his watches...

Wow - that is a very nice (and smart) gesture from JCB.

I wonder how many similar figures in his position would go that extra mile....

OK
AMAZING customer service obviously

I don't know I just don't care for them though.

They look like they aspire to be an AP ROO...
I know the ROO costs a LOT more but I think Id rather the ROO
BUT I don't think Id ever buy either (or at least anytime soon)
as I just have no use for a chrono in reality.
