FSOT: 1984 Rolex Submariner 16800 transitional glossy with perfect even patina, rare!
This is a rare model in amazing condition exhibiting the best patina I've seen in this reference, making it an example that does not come along very often, if ever.
Up for sale is a 1984 Rolex Submariner 16800 transitional glossy white gold surround dial that has aged to perfection with very unique and even patina, which is very rare and highly desirable. Typically these dials become cracked, corroded, or have oil stains on them and finding them in this condition is quite a catch with the dial, hands and case exhibiting absolute perfect condition. The case is very strong with thick lugs showing it's original chamfers on the lugs, showing very minimal signs of polishing if any. The bracelet is very tight and in great condition for it's age with the stretch being minimal if any. The clasp locks tightly and securely into place as well. The dial as mentioned is very clean and all of the hands match accordingly which have developed a nice darker patina due to the early tritium found in the dial and hands. The insert is the original which is also a rare component to still be intact on this watch as well as it's matching tritium pearl which has also darkened to match the dial and hands perfectly. The date wheel is the period correct "open date wheel" showing open 6's and open 9's. The is truly a collector grade watch. Included: ** Rolex Submariner 16800 serial 8.4 ** Cosmetic Condition: 9.9/10 ** Outer and inner Rolex boxes PRICE: $12,550.00 Overnight shipping and insurance is included in the USA. International shipping available. Payment by BANK WIRE only. I am located in Atlanta, Georgia and will welcome a face to face transaction. Email all questions to . I am an independent watch enthusiast and I am not affiliated with Rolex USA in anyway.
