Skinny wrist —DD40 link question (side pics requested)

Gents - Going gray this week for DD40. Last summer I sought and received link advice based on my wrist size which is a flat style, 6 3/8” wrist.

I’ve tentatively decided to have three links removed — all from six o’clock side. That is the max that can be removed from that side I believe.

Do y’all agree with my approach? Just concerned if I do two on six o’clock and one on 12, the bracelet would be unbalanced and clasp end would force bracelet to stick out from my wrist.

Would appreciate your pics of similar sized watches and see if anyone has removed all three from one side.

I can always take it to a dealer for adjustment, but hoping to get it right from the beginning. Thanks!

Aaron

I am not in your situation as I had to add a link for my 7.5inch wrist, what I can tell you is in my case they added the link to the 6oc position that it seems is the common place, after wearing it for 2 days I had the feeling that the watch was too much to the outside of the wrist, they swapped the link to 12oc position and I am mich more happy with the fit in that position

The modern DayDates have a relatively constant shaped deployant. After you figure out how many adjustable links you need for the watch to be comfortable. I follow this : If I have an even amount of links, I put an equal amount of links on both the 12 and 6 o’clock side. If it ends up being total links that are an odd number, I put one extra on the 12 o’clock side such that the watch is positioned a little more towards your chest, so it is easier to read.

I also have a 7.5 inch wrist. Tried on a new DD40 at an AD and the fitment was absolutely perfect as is. Needless to say I had no interest in buying and am sold on my YG Sub.

I have a 6.75 inch wrist and had to purchase 2 additional 1.25 links to get the fit just right. It all depends on how you prefer the fit and how your wrist bone plays into it. IMO every DD40 should come with at least one 1.25 link out of the box due to lack of adjustability.

I don't know how many links I've had taken out, or what my wrist size is anymore. (Used to be 6.75 in, but have lost some weight recently. See my thread from yesterday-just had the 1.25 link removed.)

However, I can say that there are 6 removable links left on the 12 o'clock side and 2 on the 6 o'clock side and it fits absolutely perfectly. Here's a pic.

Good luck!
