How to convince your wife to buy a rolex!

My wife won't let me buy her one says watches are a huge waste of money lol how do I change her mind,,she's not materialist so not into purses or anything I'm always spending I feel bad lol,,,,she likes bigger watches so thinking just letting her take my ss sub since I never wear it and this way she won't have to buy a rolex by force and my watch gets more use lolll I wonder if I can set the glide clasp so it fits both of us that be sweet

Why change her mind? You can like Rolex without your wife needing one.
You’ve said she’s not into material things but you feel bad...treat her to a spa weekend or a luxury trip away.....

No point in forcing your agenda on her

Take her to Rolex AD to try some OP or DJ models, avoid diamond dials if she is not into it and just get her that watch. I did. It also opens the door into, one for you and one for me...

Why would you buy a Rolex if she does not like it? I see no point in spending unneccesary cash so...

If she thinks that way no amount of convincing or educating will change that.

Some people are just not into our ‘thing’

Do the right thing and buy yourself another one instead

I didn’t ask my wife. She never wore a watch, just didn’t see the point. So I just bought here one and have it to her for her birthday. It was a 31mm OP.

She now wears my AP15450 a lot, and also has a 37mm IWC Portofino. And I’ve ordered here an Everose Daytona.

Accept the fact that she is smarter than we are, and buy her some gardening tools.

How to convince your wife to buy a rolex!

Mine wasn't for of them until I bought her one for Christmas of 2019. Now she loves it and really appreciates the brand.

Encourage her to wear your Submariner some and see if she likes the experience. If so, buy her a watch. If not, move on and buy yourself another watch.

My wife's not into watches, more like jewelry to her. She does have a 16030 for a daily wearer and wanted something big and fun so we picked up a blue 50mm Seiko monster on a strap. Im not going to push getting her another Rolex but who knows, she could get the itch herself.

It’s fine. You’re the spender, she’s the saver. You make sure she has fun, she makes sure you don’t spend every dollar you have. If you do get her a watch, the money is not gone so it’s not really a waste.

OP got banned... I was curious (work here is slow on an early Monday morning) and went looking to see which post did it, and it looks like he hit the bong a bit too much this morning and just went on a posting jag. Didn't see anything worthy of a ban, but the moderators probably deleted it.

The OP may be gone but I’ll throw my .02 out.

If someone doesn’t like or isn’t into watches, the chances of converting them are slim. My wife doesn't wear a watch, never has.

For her 40th B Day, I surprised her with a new RG Rolex. She was complimentary of course and wore it a few times but within a fee weeks, no more. It has spent the last 6 years in the safe unworn.

Moral of the story buy gifts they will enjoy, not what you want for them. Lesson learned.
