Visiting AD OC Tanner in SLC this week

Anyone have experience with this AD? Going to be making a visit while on a work trip.

Thanks

Great AD. The boutique they own a block away has a better selection but they can move pieces back and forth. I’d ask for Steele who is always very pleasant. John at the boutique is good to work with too. I’ve seen a pre sold blue skyD there the year it debuted and a pre ceramic Daytona there years ago. I still regret not buying the Daytona, but this was maybe 5 years ago. Not sure how it will be with no prior purchases if you want a SS model, but I’d suspect they can get you a two tone model easily.

What do you hope to achieve there?

The hope that lightning might strike ! I know very well that my chances are less than good of finding what I’m looking for.

I’m hoping to find a GMT master 2. I’m on a few lists in SoCal and live near Bob’s watches. If I see a black bezel model on their site I may just pull the trigger on that.

I was in there just this past Saturday, in fact. Selection at the moment isn't that great, but they did have a two-tone Daytona with black dial. There was the usual assortment of datejusts, yacht masters, and other precious metal offerings.

They did end up closing their boutique in the mall across the street about a month ago. Well, they closed it as a Rolex boutique, but they still own he lease and will switch it over to jewelry. So now it's just OC Tanner's main building downtown and their boutique up in Park City for Rolex.

The staff are excellent. Very helpful and great to chat with.

I’ve been in a couple of times when visiting SLC the staff is amazing but there is unlikely to be any surprising pickups there or anywhere else.

I visited the Rolex boutique in the City Creek Mall a number of times over the years and the staff is great. As mentioned earlier in this thread, they closed their boutique last month and moved all their Rolex inventory to their main store.

As is common with ADs in big cities, don’t expect to get your hands on any of the hot models unless you are spending some $$$ in their store.
