Explorer 1 - Legit Check
This is my first post here after reading some of the previous posts in this excellent forum.
I'm considering to buy this F serial Explorer 1 from a private seller. The seller claims to have bought the watch from a reputable dealer where I live who I know and I have seen a picture of the receipt. I'd really appreciate a second opinion if this watch is genuine and correct. Many thanks in advance. |

I thought Asians hated the word "oriental'.
I'd investigate further... |

It's typically considered "politically incorrect" by "woke" (PC) Westerners.
However, there are countless Chinese companies with "Oriental" in the name. And more importantly, Oriental Watch Co. is a legitimate authorized Rolex dealer. |

I would show the watch to the reputable dealer who sold it to this seller. That’s your best bet IMHO.

Unless you have a reputable Rolex parts watchmaker you can have examine it, I’d Take it to a local AD. For a nominal fee they could authenticate it.

Good details on the clasp, looks gen. There are good reps of this reference around; wouldn’t hurt to pop up that caseback and check the movement before purchase

The exterior looks exactly like the one I had, so it's legit. Only thing left is to open case back if you are worried for any reason.
