I Bastardized my GMT
Well it finally happened. I swapped out the jubilee on my 126710 out for a 97200 oyster bracelet off of a Sub. I have created my ideal watch! I’m sure this will trigger the purists, but this was my plan from day one (I would still have done this if I had a 116710 to gain the glide lock and lose the PCLs). I love the jubilee and have to admit it’s a bit more comfortable, but the stealth look of the oyster fits my current lifestyle a little bit better.

Looks great. I like the BLRO on Jubilee but the BLNR does look better (IMO) on Oyster.

I am a purist, and I am triggered.
Just kidding, nice watch, wear it, and enjoy your life. |

Nothing wrong with that. It doesn't need a "name" though.

I like it. I have swapped the PCL bracelet on my GMT IIc LN with the 97200 oyster bracelet. It is the perfect combo for me. Did the same with my 16570 as well since the 5 digits fit me very well and the glide lock just makes it the most comfortable watch to wear.

The whole looks more raw, but overall it looks good.

Did the same thing on my 116710 and it makes the watch a much better wear. Never was a fan of the PCLs and the glidelock is simply the best clasp Rolex makes.

I'm glad you have the wherewithal to not care what anybody else thinks--it's YOUR watch. Do what you want with it!

Jubilee's have their place, but it is not on Subs, GMT's, etc. IMHO they just don't look right on any of the SS "Sport" models.
Kudo's for changing yours out!

As I understand, the same 97200 oyster bracelet fits both Batman 116710 and 126710?

I like it. Looks a little more like a tool watch on the oyster without polished center links.

The way it shouldve left Rolex to begin with. If it had it would be even more desirable.
I am not a fan of pcls or jubilee on sports models either. Like if I were lucky enough to "win" one,, I'd want to do the exact same thing.

Sure is! My wife got it for me for Christmas. It’s a copy of a patent filed back in the 90s. It’s hanging in my office and makes for a great conversation piece when I am on video calls.
