Any men wearing YACHT-MASTER 268655 oysterflex 37MM??

Any men wearing the YACHT-MASTER 268655 37MM? I currently wear a 36DJ on a 6.75, Have never seen this reference in person to compare to the 40mm version which was too large for my wrist. Photos would be awesome!

I think with strap, its better to wear 40mm. That's they style of this watch, its not datejust or classic watch to wear 37mm for men. My vote for 40mm even if its little big, it's that kind of watch, statement making.

I could easily have gotten used to the 40 on the strap, but its a big enough difference that I would not wear the 36 anymore if I got used to that.

I have small wrists just like you OP. I am currently saving up for the 268655 and decided that’s the one I’m going with. I feel 40mm is a little to big for my wrist.

I actually have not tried it on as I am saving up for it and haven’t been into the AD. I decided to go with the 37mm because of my small wrists. When the time is right I very well could think it is to small. But I highly doubt it. I’ve wore my Dads Omega Speedmaster and Breitling and it wore big. I know they were around 40mm or higher.

My wrist is 6.4 so that’s why I think 37 will be fine.

The thing is... The 36DJ is proportioned great and looks perfect for what it is. Like the 36mm Explorer/DD/Etc And all have 20mm between the lugs. The 37YM has... Odd proportions. And only 18mm between the lugs. You'd think it would look and wear like a 5 digit 39mm case or the other 36's but it doesn't at all.

Like I have seen the 36MM tudor subs (I think they are 36) and they look fine.

That is what I was worried about. A year ago an AD in southern CA told me rudely "that is a womans watch!!" when I inquired, then I asked an AD in KY this month and he said they sell them to men all the time. So never seeing it in person, I am still confused.

Gotcha, so it will not wear the same. Definitely getting conflicting answers. Again, have never seen this reference in person

I thought it would be available to see in ADs case. Frankly, I’d be mad if I enquired about it and was told it was a woman’s watch. I think men can wear it to.

I was tempted with my smallish 6.5 inch wrist. I chose to go after a normal 36mm watch instead. If I was going after a YM it would be 40mm.

What did you go with? I currently wear a 116234. Am searching for a 118238. In the mean time thought this YM reference would check some boxes.

It shouldn't be hard to find. I've seen them in a few AD's.

On paper it should be about perfect. Classic dress watch size but with a sportier look, yada. It's just not.

I don’t own any Rolex yet. Still saving up. I put that as my profile watch because I want it. I am still new to the forum. I guess putting that there means you own it. My bad.

18238 was my choice in NOS condition.

I would not have thought so either! However, i have traveled the country over the past year and a half, and have still never managed to catch one in the wild. Have stopped into AD's from Seattle to Florida. Have only ever seen the 40mm

I have a very small wrist (6.25) and I have the 40mm. It doesn’t wear big, especially on the oysterflex. However I personally was really torn between the 40 and 37. I tried on the 37 a few months before getting the 40 and almost pulled the trigger. Imo it is does not look too small or feminine. Some days I wake up and wish I still had. Then some days the 40 looks perfect. My best advice is unfortunately to try it on, or at least try on a different YM37 variant to see the case size.

I know Tim from Watchbox did a comparison video of both on YouTube, I’ll try to find it for you.

I have a 7" wrist..probably 7.25 in hot active weather..
I've tried them all on..34OP/35/37/40mm YM's..
I like smaller watches as they are less bulky..and you get better deals on em..
I own the 34mm Olive Green OP..and more recently..the YM 35mm.
And they are all nice..just depends on how much comfort and weight you want to be carrying around..
Below is my vid on the subject..
I thought the 35mm YM was really small when I got it..but took a chance..that said.. you get used to it real quick..I'm so happy w/it!
And now..I'm not wearing anything else but the 35mm for almost a year..even the 34mm OP seems too weighty..

I have a 6.5 inch wrist and my daily is a DJ36. I went with the YM40 for the sports watch because it actually looked better between the two. Something you have to know is the dial size between the DJ36 and the YM40 (daytona and sub for that matter) are basically the same. It's the bezel and lugs that change the appearance and overall size. I found the YM37 to appear a bit weird for me because the dial itself was so small and as others on this thread have mentioned the YM40 is supposed to wear larger and flashier than a DJ for instance.

In the end both are fine for our wrist size but I do think you should try the YM40 again. ALso the YM40 has glidelock the YM37 doesn't. Also if you go YM40 i recommend you try and order in the first place with D-F straps from factory if possible. My AD and RSC weren't very good at strap changes... Based on forum threads seems like it's a global issue...

I still feel like men can wear the 37mm. I’m am still set in that but I guess it just depends on the person.

Here’s a 37mm on my wrist (about 6.75 inches). The overall size was fine, but I felt the width of the bezel overpowered the look of the watch.

these kinds of pics are super distorting though so it's hard to tell. looks like a 40 when it's that close up lol
