Pepsi is now a Coke !!!!

Purchased from UK AD in Jan 2020 - blue is only visible under very well lit conditions and looks black most of the time. Is this “latest” BLRO bezel an attempt by Rolex to make a distinction versus the blue of the BLNR ???

Rumor says Rolex made a conscious effort to make it darker since people complained about pastel colours. From there on there seems to be variation in the process but still within that darker shade.

The other forum myth is that there is only one lady who "knows" this process and she is teaching another one so that is why there are variations. All fun speculation though.

How did this "myth" even come about? How absurd would it be for a company like Rolex to leave the formula for bezel color to one person.

Definitely a weird one!

Congrats on the BLRO...if you don’t like it, I’d suggest moving it on, you’ll be happier.

Here’s mine

I still think its all just batch variation, given someone bought one claiming to have an MK1 bezel recently. I don't think it is true "MK" variations though, that are purposeful at least.

I like the lighter bezels, the darker ones are more conservative looking.

If I ordered one and it came in that dark, I’d be unhappy with it.

When it was released, I was among those who didn't love the pastel colors and wished they were stronger and more vibrant. But it seems they overdid it and colors are too dark now... careful what you wish for, I suppose

So true

Rolex is reading these forums and tweaking their models to satisfy us! I knew it all along!

I like the darker color of the SS BLRO vs. the lighter colors of the early WG BLRO. A PT RONR on an Oyster bracelet would be killer!

It is my opinion that this is why we can wipe off an official Coke from the wish list.

I prefer the darker colours to the pastel ones but something in between similar to the original Pepsi would have been perfect.

Below is in normal office lighting - I think this MK3 has gone a bit too far with the darkening - even the red looks almost brown....
