West Coast service for Rolex?
Now that the unfortunate news of Rolex's Beverly Hills service center closing down has been confirmed...any word of what West-Coasters who don't want to ship their watch will do for official service?
Perhaps the company store at South Coast Plaza will offer watchmaking/repair services? That move would make sense, as Rolex is paying the rent for that store, anyway. Any rumors? Thoughts? |

Though I have never used them, San Francisco gets high marks from members that have.

Giovanni in San Francisco is excellent. Something tells me his delivery time is going to increase though!

Off to the 4 Crowns
Just sent my 1990 Expy II in to Four Crowns in LA-LA land (for it's first service....daily driver for all these years)....So far, so good, PLENTY of communication and a fair price for repair, refurb, refinish and retuning. I'll send a wrist shot when I get it back. The turn around time is to be less than 2 weeks. All by express/registered/insured post (which will be about $100 alone). Cheers!

I know you wrote that you did not want to ship the watch, and I'm wondering why. When you've got Giovanni at SF RSC, it seems that would be the way to go. It's not as though you're having your watch serviced every day (I hope).
