April Price Increase

So, is there going to be a price increase on Wednesday? If so, how much and what markets will be affected?

its of no consequence to you Brian, your deal is in play and cannot (where's my bat??) be influenced by an increase (if it even happens) !

Yes it is. If there is a price increase next week in the Us, it may affect the AD's offer. Also, if prices do go up, it makes the deal that much sweeter.

$20G's is not chump change to me, its a lot of money. Sorry if you feel I am belaboring the point.

so you guys are not locked in a deal that is not influenced by speculative increases (decreases LOL ! ); anotherwords, you saw the stickers and said, "yea, and if ya discount..." , "we can talk further"...
But let me tellya, there's "no way," "no how," that the price adjustment will be the other way, you can bet all three pieces that wont happen.

sounds like you have a deal pending at Ad or GM? if so the piece they have is already in there hands at current price so they cant bump it up..

if price increase and your buying from GM.. shouldnt affect it either if you have a deal negotiated already.. but after like a week i say its fair game for the GM to up his price.

some say so

I have heard the rumour that there is a rise coming in April in the UK.

I asked my AD he said not that i am aware as the market is challenging enough and with the previous 3 rises in just over a year its highly unlikly.

Who really knows .

I have a SS daytona paid for at £5730 and had to give my AD the extra money to bring it up to £6170 after the recent increase in Feb 09 ,If it goes up again i will get my money back and buy something Vintage like a old Sub or Paul newman daytona or orange hand explorer .

It wont affect me as I decided a while ago that pre owned is the way to go for me from now on.That and the fact that I'm not too keen on the latest case shape of the SS sports range like the GMT IIc,new Sub and the DSSD

Heck yeah it is. Used in a sentence: "Rolex raised their prices again; a Two-tone Sub now costs eleventy-gillion dollars."

x2! I really HATE the DSSD. The more I see it, the more I think it should be removed from the line. It really looks like a submariner on steroids.

Ah yeah...I kind of think that was the point.

How anyone can "HATE" a watch so much that they think it should be removed form the line is a little beyond me. Numerous models don't 'float my boat' so to speak & I wouldn't be caught dead in them, but if they are being offered it's because more than just a few individuals actually like it and will buy. I don't care if they continue to offer those examples, just as long as they offer ones I like. And even if that completely disappears with the current Rolex line-up, there's plenty of other brands out there (not to mention the hundreds of thousands of 'old' models that are for sale all the time).

But, I've got to believe Rolex market research is a little more sophisticated than one guy standing blind folded in a dark room throwing darts at a board holding model concepts. The beautiful part of a free world is the fact we can buy (and not buy) the things we want.

Just because a certain model doesn't do it for you, why "HATE" something so much that you feel the need to wish its demise & ultimate restriction from the hundreds of thousands of individuals in the world that obviously like it. Makes no sense to me & sounds kind of narrow minded. I hate to think of a world where we all find the same thing attractive and forced to 'choose' between one or two available, long-standing, non-evolving options.

Hey Moby,

I don't necessarilly hate anything, except liars and cheaters. I should have changed my opinion, to "I strongly dislike what Rolex had done to the beautiful Sea Dweller"

My apologies to anyone who was offended.

Isn't this the 10,000 th post of a rumored price increase since Jan 1 09. So does that make a SS Submariner Date about a $100,000.00. Now.

This can on and on.

No one will know until the price change on the tags in the case.

Good luck with your purchase and let us know when you finally get them.
