Royal Oak Chrono 38mm experiences
A very good day to all of you.
I am new here. My name is Claudio and write from Italy. Ia am thinking about to purchase a grey RO chrono in 38mm and wanted to ask owners the following: 1) Is it really smaller regarding the 41 on the wrist? 2) How long have you waited for the 38mm in boutique? 3) Not of my interest but i see it does not keep the price that much. What do you think? 4) since it's 11mm "high" on wrists how do you find wearing cufflinks. Thank you for every help you'll give. C |

1. Is does wear smaller. If you’re familiar with Rolex, it’s size wise comparable to a Daytona whereas the 41mm is comparable to a sky dweller (all in absolute size and wrist presence)
2. For a grey one, likely inside 6 months but hard to tell in this environment given Italian boutiques are likely closed and the manufacturer is shut 3. Hard to know how second pricing will be given volatility in global markets but if you can afford it and have the liquidity, then definitely go for it 4. I have the 41mm and it’s perfect with my dress shirts, the bezel slopes inward so it slips under shirt cuffs easily If you get it, enjoy! Hope you and the family stay safe and healthy |

1) Of course, a lot
2) Bought grey 3) Unworn trade at retail (26k) or slightly above pretty much like the 41mm, so not quite sure what u mean, future watch market pricing will be driven by the overall 'beta' in the near- to midterm given the demand slump, and impossible to say how this ROC will do vs. 41mm or others 4) I find it very flat (this is not a sub with a "bump"), slips under every cuff, and I have my dress shirt cuffs cut snug |

1) I have a 41mm chrono and a 38mm chrono. The size difference is very substantial.
2) I understand the wait had been a few months, but I purchased from a dealer. Who knows what the reality is right now... 3) The price for the gray was a tad under MSRP, and the white/blue panda was generally at MSRP or slightly above. Given the current reality, both will likely fall below MSRP. 4) I never wear cufflinks, but the 38mm isn't a thick watch so I doubt you'd have any issues. Generally speaking it fits well under shirt cuffs (including dress shirts). |

1) definitely smaller than 41mm
2) 6 months for me in USA 3) blue sub dials seem to hold better but would probably near or under mrsp if you. Sold it today 4) don’t use cuff links but fits well under dress shirt I can say |

I tried one at an AD in Bangkok (the watch was available to purchase at MSRP). I couldn’t wear a 41mm chrono (or even a 39mm jumbo) due to my tiny wrist but the 38mm was a perfect fit. The watch still wears like other 40mm sports watches on my wrist.

Gentlemen. Thanks to everybody for the answers. Did appreciate very much.
Will wait the reopening of boutique and AD's and see what happens. I am seeing on Chrono24 prices are dropping a little. Analysts saying the market is dropping down as some of you here on the forum. Let's see.... Hope you are all safe and in health! |

There are trusted sellers on TRF asking for 10-15% above retail. Can probably get a good deal now if you push a bit
I hear wait lists are getting thin for steel RO (non-blue dials) so the wait may not be long anymore. Issue is you won’t be able to travel to pick one up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
