Current collection help!

Current watches
Sub 16610
Daytona White 116500
Pepsi GMT Stainless

Hey guys: I’m getting a little bored with an all stainless lineup. Thinking about selling the Pepsi and getting a two tone Bluesy.

Thoughts?

I mean, if you don't like the Pepsi GMT, then go for it. Personally, I'd have to be smoking something ridiculously strong to even entertain the thought- but then again, I'm biased in favor of the GMT.

I'd argue any day that the 126710BLRO's design and build is more appropriate for its purpose than its predecessors; I can't say the same for the 116500LN (in fact, you stand to gain more "upside" pursuing older Daytonas).

Between the 116500LN and the 16610, I'd sell the former- but that would draw the wrath of the AD. Not sure what kind of money you could get for the 16610 but I doubt it'd be enough to procure a 16613, much less a 116613.

Alternatively, you could sell the Pepsi GMT and acquire a Root beer GMT, which would still preserve the GMT complication in your collection. Perhaps you wouldn't get the colorful dial, but at least you'd have something cooler.

I think you're not being rational, if you're thinking about selling your Pepsi.

Maybe you should wait until the current crisis ends and then make your decision.

Sell the 16610 and get the Bluesy. Keep the Pepsi and Daytona.

I have a Pepsi and Bluesy, and while the Bluesy is nice I don’t personally feel it’s worth a Pepsi.

I think you’ll be very happy with the bluesy and it will definitely add some major pop to your lineup. As to which watch to sell, it’s hard for me to say. Pepsi is a great reference, but so are the others. Would be nice if you didn’t have to move one and just add, but I get it.

Yeah, I would get rid of the sub if your are getting a TT sub. Then you keep the land, sea and air trio. I would not get rid of the Pepsi. It is such a great piece.

The sub 16610 has sentimental value. Purchased it 17 years ago new when I was 17. Maybe I’ll just add a Bluesy and keep my current pieces.

But then... I may want a 116618 full gold SMH LOL

Ps. I had a two tone root beer and a FG root beer. Ended up decided yellow gold was my preferred color.

If you sell Pepsi go full gold.

Otherwise add TT and then decide what to sell. I’m guessing you’ll sell TT for full gold anyway.

I had Bluesy previously, it’s one of iconic watch. But I wouldn’t trade with BLRO. It’s such a nice piece and you will regret selling it

If I had your collection, I wouldn’t sell anything, but rather would add. That would be my decision. But what, that’s a bit harder: TT DJ, CHNR? Full PM? Something other than Rolex?

Good luck with your decision.

Which Pepsi reference? That might influence my answer, but you have a nice lineup. Bluesy is a beautiful watch though, tough choice.

You need a full Everose CHNR. Perhaps a PM AP ROOC. Be carful it’s not just Rolex you are getting bored with. I NEED other brands in my collection and it also helps enhance each brand by its diversity. Most of use long term collectors have found this to be the key to watch satisfaction.

I had a full everose CHNR most recently. Couldn’t get used to the color of rose. Now I’m ready for a beauty with yellow gold.

Hoping for a yellow gold Hulk release , fingers crossed

I finally moved two on to get my yellow gold grail. I kept one SS and couldn't be happier. This one hasn't left my wrist in 21 days. Now that you know, go for your YG stunner!
