So you've had the standard models...........

Diamonds and precious jewels, it would seem, are the natural progression to put some zing back into your watch enthusiasm??????

Right?

Is it feminine.......where does it say in any authorative work that diamonds are so?

Wearing this says to people "Step off, this is real or my boys are gonna hurt youz!"

The options did not perfectly fit my opinion.

Not a fan of diamonds or YG / RG.

I guess you can go into better brands or the independents to spice things up?

My option is not on your poll Steven.

I can afford it but I don’t think it is ‘the way’.

Hope you are all keeping well over there.

Have a nice Easter break.

Once you've had all the main Rolex's or a certain number of them its not about moving up to diamonds/stones its about moving up BRANDS

Patek, AP, FP Journe etc....

Something like the below. These are ultimate game over watches for me.

I like Rolex because of its utilitarian roots, so I’d pass on the diamonds.

They are probably someone’s cup of tea

Depends on who you are.

I’m just an ordinary middle aged guy. The most gems I’d put on my watch would be a diamond dial.

But a movie star or rapper looks good with some “rocks on they timepiece.”

Well if you’re more about the gems than about the watchmaking, that might be your way, but there certainly are more elegant expressions of high jewellry... if you’re more about what’s inside, the air gets pretty thin pretty quickly with Rolex. In both instances, you’re probably find more happyness somewhere else, as Rolex is about neither. Rolex is exactly about those base models, and if you can’t see what’s so great about them, you’re probably not abusing them hard enough...

I can't afford it, but if I could I would certainly buy a everose SARU GMT or a Rainbow Daytona. Roulette YM with paved dial is also pretty cool!

Love the bezel but can’t warm up to the bling on the lugs and crown guard.

Steve, can’t vote in your pole as there is not an appropriate response for my situation. I may be able to afford the diamonds, just don’t like that look for me

I don't know about a progression of watch coolness. Rather, it may be a progression of taste and/or self-confidence. We each start somewhere along this progression. Some of us don't progress much from there, others do.

I would wear that one in the video in a heart beat, if it was still beating after I paid the price . . . .

No I have a Diamond dial Diamond bezel 18kt Datejust bought in the 80s but filling every available bit of space on a watch with bling is a bit much even for me.

Couldn’t agree more I’d go for any one of these over a gem set Rolex every day of the week!

I can't afford it so not really a dilemma.

Thinking these diamond watches are beautiful and really a step up but still would be reluctant to wear them.
I like the Leopard as well but don't have the guts to buy and wear one. Weird, at my age I should have enough self confidence to not care about what others think

If I could afford it, I’d get the Rainbow Daytona. Another level. That’s a FUn watch to be bought with FUn money.

My tastes are what they are and I’m a pretty under the radar guy.

I could see the appeal of jumping into Patek some day but it would still be a stainless steel sport reference.

About the only Rolex reference with PM and diamonds I would consider is the platinum day date with baguette indices, but even then I think the standard dial is much nicer. YMMV

Actually a beautiful piece but for a smaller market independent of price. I'd go full PM PP for that coin.
