Baselworld will be discontinued!

Will the value of Baselworld increase?

How can the value of something increase if it no longer exists?

I think it was humor, similar to Kermits, older GMTs etc...

Probably more brands will withdraw and the event will be canceled entirely at some point. The virus just speeded up the inevitable demise of this event. The interesting thing will be to see how the brands maintain the close contact to their ADs in some form of face to face contact. Basel was really a platform for the ADs to meet with the brands and place orders either on-site or on a visit to the brand's manufactory while there.

Great. Now everyone will want a Baselworld and its price will skyrocket.
