I have a Yacht-master 16622 and I was under the impression it was made in 2007 ( its a D series) but am I wrong D series means early 2005 ?

2005 sounds about right

The case was probably made 2005-2006. First Zs started appearing in late 2006, if I'm not mistaken.

That's not to say that your watch was specifically assembled in 2005. It's also not necessarily true that your watch first left an AD in 2005 or 2006--it's perfectly reasonable that it might have first sold new in 2007 (which would be its birthdate, IMO).

See I dont have any papers for mine I just went by the serial on it.

D models started showing up in late '04/very early 05, and were in production well into 2007 when Z models started showing up.

F and D were being produced at the same time through '06, so they had a long run..

Without the paperwork, all you can say is "somewhere in that range"

You guys most information can be easily found in-forum all you got to do is look.Admin and mods spend many hours getting information for you all you got to do is look its that simple.D is from April 2005 till may 2006.
