something different for BB lovers

We all know basic model 2940 bubble back. one of the earliest 2 piece SS case BB that Rolex produced - mostly in the mid 40s. So far so good. But do we know much about Rolex service parts for these watches?

Below is a case back for a BB 2940 with a date stamp of III 66 - definitely way way past the end of production. Actually, this case back came to me on a 5010 BB.

Interesting finding it on the wrong model - a 5010 - and also looks like the watchmaker sneezes when punching the 4 in the 2940.
