Helson Sharkmaster 300 Review & Vintage Seamaster Homages
Greetings folks!
Just thought I would share with you another review that I did of the Helson Sharkmaster 300, which is essentially a homage to the vintage Omega Seamaster 165.024. I spent months obsessing over the 165.024 and went ahead and bought the Helson to temporarily satisfy this itch until I can afford a WatchCo or MKII Project300. Review: https://www.beansandbezels.com/main/...sharkmaster300 I'm happy to continue that discussion here with anyone that has thoughts on the many vintage Seamaster homages that exist today . Thanks! |

Very nice - similar to the Precista PRS-3 which is sadly now discontinued.
Helson's Skindiver is a nice Fifty Fathoms tribute, if this is also of interest.

Nice - the old SM300 is one of my all time favourite watch designs.

I agree! That design became somewhat of an obsession for me and I had to satisfy the craving somehow. The Helson is a good temporary placeholder to appease the SM300 desire but eventually I'd like to get the real deal, but they're ridiculously expensive these days

Very nice review. I really like the Sharkmaster 300 and if the new batch continues to use a 2824-2, I believe it will be one of the best options in the price range for a dive watch with classic looks.
I used to own a watchco SM300, so I'm very familiar with the concept and design. After letting go of mine, I thought I was over this design, but the big triangle/no date version of this sharkmaster might yet catch me. Funny, because I'd be taking the opposite route: going to the Helson after owning the Omega. |

I believe they have another batch scheduled to drop sometime June-July, and I've heard rumors that there will be other color options as well. |
