What do you mean by last submariner? If you’re referring to the current model, there is no difference in lume between the YM40 and current Sub. They both use chromalight and have same maxi dial.

They both currently use the same lume, chromalight which is Rolex‘s proprietary luminous paint. Therefore they should last the same amount of time.

In the past, the Yacht Master had larger hour markers because it featured the “maxi dial” that you see on current Submariners and Yacht Masters. Larger hour markers = larger area of lume and therefore giving the viewer the impression that it was brighter and lasted longer.
