Multiple GMT collectors ...

Hey everyone,

Curious as to how many of you have multiple GMT's in your collection, which one's you have and whether any rotationally suffer because you prefer one of or more of them? Which model rules if you have multiple metals? Do you wear only PM? Two-tone? Thanks in advance for sharing.

I have a 16713 two tone, it was my first Rolex bought about 18 years ago maybe as a pre-owned watch. My most recent, about 5 years ago, is a 1995 16700 pepsi. In between these two purchases was the Tudor GMT and the SS Daytona.
I only wear the two tone on dressy occasions, very rare now, however my Pepsi has been my daily wear for the last 4 years or so, and that includes heavy manual work, building work , carpentry etc. It is an awesome watch.
I like all my watches but this 16700 gets 90% of wrist time.

Four five digits...Pepsi, Coke x 2, LN.
2 six digit ceramics, the LN and the CHNR. (On the wait list for the new Pepsi).
Black dial 42MM Explorer 2.
A Ball Aviators GMT.

I clearly have an illness, but that aside.....

The six digit ceramic LN is my daily. It used to be the LN 5 digit prior to that. The black bezel on the GMT’s is pure class and hard to beat. The Pespi I wore for years and eventually tired of it and much prefer the Coke when comparing Pepsi to Coke. The Pepsi on jubilee was my first Rolex until one day I looked at it and just wanted something less colourful and more classic.
I wear my LN most days. I wear it for work and it takes the knocks better than any other watch I can think of. All this talk of delicate ceramic bezels to my mind in utter non-sense. Whilst not indestructible and expensive to replace, they don’t fade, don’t show scratches or dings like the older aluminium ones used to.
Having said the above, the 16710 in my mind is the best watch ever made by a mile. It has a fine history and Will last for way more than one lifetime and still keep ticking, but the 6 digits have simply made what was a great watch more robust in many ways.
I will never part with my ceramic LN for lots of reasons personal to me. It has too much history both good and bad of events in my life.
The TT CHNR is by far the best looking one of the lot. It’s the best looking GMT available today bar none, it’s just the Instagram crowd haven’t clocked it yet because like sheep, they buy what they’re told to buy.

Totally Agree - Especially regarding TT CHNR - Best looking GMT, possibly best looking Rolex IMO

16713 RootBeer
16713 Black Dial
116719BLRO

Love all 3 but the 116713’s seem to get more daily wear.

And I thought I was alone with my Sickness... :-)

I love the GMT complication and think the full PM Everose is a nice complement to the SS 116710BLNR.

I would recommend new watch enthusiast to never buy a Rolex. Once, this disease takes over, it never leaves. At least, not in my case.

The 5 digit coke is my favorite and of the 6 digits, BLNR and LN.

‘Only’ two
- 126711CHNR, this is my daily since I got it and is now my oldest watch after I sold my subs. The root beer is truly special. It is classy and understated and is my daily to the office or when traveling.

- 126610BLNR, weekend wear mostly. Love the youthful vibe of this watch with the jubilee and I’ve fallen in love with that bracelet since I bought this.

On the waitlist for the 126710BLRO. I’ve gone from not being overly impressed with the bezel to liking it a lot more. Enough to get on the list. Will decide if I still want it or not when I have it hand. I like the darker variations of the red and blue, not the pink and purple.

Finally, the 126715CHNR is on the desire list. One or the best looking PM made by Rolex.

Had multiple subs... ultimately I felt I wanted to choose one and try other models and brands. Never looked back.

Currently own:
116710 BLNR
126710 BLRO

I will try pick up a 116710 LN at a good price and condition to add to the collection and of course whenever the infamous 'Coke' bezel is released, I will hopefully add that to the collection as well.

Out of curiosity, what are your intentions with the OG Batman? Saving it to pass it on as an heirloom, do you see some value in it as a long-term investment, etc?

At one point, I had 4 GMTs (116710, 116718 x 2, 116719). Now I just have a 116718 and 116719. Happy with them.
