That Concord may be ugly as sin, but the JLC Perpetual Tourbillon is a thing of beauty.

Concord is a brand in search of it's identity. Once a highly regarded brand, they lost their way in the 90s and became a joke. I think it was 3-4 years ago that the C-1 was introduced. My AD friends cautioned me to 1) not sell my El Primero based Impresario until they come out of the cellar and 2) don't buy anything new from them until they regain some stature. I think it's coming along. I don't know anyone here that can afford the watch, so I guess it's good you don't like it. Most importantly, these vanguard pieces aren't really sales items, but are built to boost the brand image.

The technology investment is quite evident. And what did we get from Rolex this year? Flowers on the dial.
