Icon4 Recommendations for rubber aftermarket Rolex bands?

have come across Everest and RubberB, was curious if there are other options maybe a bit less expensive out there?

thanks in advance for your help

Horus is good, a little cheaper (paid about $130 with coupon code), and based in miami. Have one for wife's YM, liked it enough to get another for my aqua terra. They don't have a deployment option though if that's important to you.

Vulcan is another option that is well regarded, i dont have personal experience.

Just my opinion but why save yourself 100-150 bucks by buying a cheap alternative when you know that RubberB is solid and won’t bust, causing your watch to potentially fall or break. Just not worth the risk imo, I know the straps are pricey but they are top quality.

I have a black and blue Everest rubber band with tang buckle. It's nice to change it up a bit, but prefer the original Rolex bracelet. I've never had any issues, and the fit is spot on.

Check out the rubber straps on Etsy, I purchased one for $50 and it's great.

I got a Zealande for my Omega Seamaster and love it. Would've gotten a green one for my GMT II but the fit wouldn't have been perfect so I went with Everest. For what it's worth, the Zealande ones are marketed as being "Swiss Manufacturer" but don't say Swiss Made. The owner wouldn't tell me where they are made.

I have two Vanguard straps $130 but you can get 10% off with codes on You Tube or by signing up for their newsletter. Based in Dubai, with really quick DHL international delivery.

This is the best advice you’ll get on this topic.

I only ever tried Rubber B, and they were fantastic. I would say get the best strap you can for your Rolex. I trusted it on my 116515 and 116519

I also recommend the Oysterflex if you can find it. I luckily found one in my size on ebay so I have it just sitting around and it can be used on pretty much any Rolex Sports model with 20mm lugs.

I must say, that Miami blue strap is simply to die for. Wow.

This (Zealande) is the brand I'm thinking of going with b/c the blue they make (closer to a navy) would go much better with the YM than the lighter blue Rubber B makes with the pin buckle. Rubber B does offer a darker blue, but that's if you use the original clasp to go with it.

I just ordered an Everest with green stripe for my Air King. I'll let you know how it feels once it arrives, but I really like the look of the green matching the green on the dial.

I went for the Vanguard on my Tudor because I liked the shade of blue better than other competitors plus it a accepts them Tudor deploying clasp too. I’ve been pleased so far

Looks great!
I was thinking about one of these myself for summer/beach wear.
How does it wear in the heat? does it get really moist and make the watch slippery?
I dislike it when my watch is sliding around my wrist.

Thanks! The ridges on the strap hold it in place very well. But like with any strap heavy sweat will have it's affect. The real benefit from these straps is the comfort. It "gives" with your wrist movement. That also keeps it from moving around.

Not related entirely, but out of curiosity is there an aftermarket rubber strap maker that advertises their strap smells (good, not bad or rubbery). Reason I’m asking is a year ago I was in an airport and asked someone who had what I recall was a bright blue rubber aftermarket strap on about it as it looked good, and he mentioned the brand (i forget which) and said the unique thing about it was that it smelled good.

Quality over budget for me, personally

All of those copies of Rubber B are just herendous. I don't care how much I'd be saving. For me its about the actual value that I'm getting in return... The silicone Horus being the worst of course. WHY???? It is a real low bar manufacturing material and cheapens the Rolex esthetically... It's funny because when Rubber B first came with their Swiss straps curved especially for Rolex like a decade ago, purists on this very same forum were killing them. But over the years the critics became the fans. And now a million and one copycat makers have come along after them. I just do not understand why people would buy such a weak copy when you can get the real thing directly from the inventor with the luxury pedigree. Mine are below (both generations GMT C).

I use a lot of rubber straps for my seiko skx, such as Bonetto Cinturini, Isofrane, Hirsch that all have a vanilla smell if that is what you're referring to.

Would it have been a bright blue Isofrane?

That’s my blue on my Seamaster. Love it, and it’s vulcanized rubber just like the aforementioned brands. I have a couple cheap knockoffs from EBay and it’s a night and day difference in feel, look, and smell 😂

Correct.. you only get what you paid for. I figure if I'm going to get a rubber band might as well get a good one. I got the Everest and I'm glad I did. Great band and service..

That’s the Zealande ? And You’re happy with it? Any negatives? And have you compared it to the rubber B ?
Can you post more pics — the one you posted doesn’t show the strap all that well.
The CEO is offering free shipping for it.
Back in 2017 there was a negative review of the Zealande strap by Chadvri, whose opinion I respect. So I’m a little gun shy about the Zealande.

Thanks man.

I don’t have a Rubber B but I have an Everest for my 116710LN. Honestly if Zealande had a green strap that fit it perfectly I would’ve gotten one too. The difference in price doesn’t justify the difference in my opinion. I also appreciated the CEO’s honesty about the green strap not perfectly my GMT.
