8 Ticks per Second - 3235 Movement in Slo-mo

Hi

I wanted to share this slo-mo footage I took of my SD43 second hand ticking.

I was surprised just how many individual moves the hand actually makes between each second marker.

I counted 8 in total - sometimes it looks like 7 but I think that’s due to the angle the camera was set up in relation to the watch.

When the watch is directly below the camera i.e at 90 deg. it is definitely 8.

Unfortunately I couldn’t upload the video directly to TRF using Tapatalk so I’ve had to link it to my IG account - hope this is allowed, sorry if not, mods please remove if any rules have been broken.

Anyway, hope you enjoy watching as much as I enjoyed filming it.

Cheers

What a nice idea you had. Love seeing how the heart of the SD43 beats in slowmo!
I counted exactly 8 beats too.

Cheers - couldn’t decide between 7 & 8 but settled on 8 eventually after much deliberation

This was great, thanks for sharing. I always thought there were 4 ticks (observing with naked eye only) but clearly there are 8 per second. Great work... Thanks again

Looks great, I saw this myself on Facebook last week, if you set your iPhone video to slo-mo you can see it on the watch. It is 8 beats per second, so that gives you 8x60x60 which is the 28800 beats per hour,

Hi Ivor - thanks for the feedback.

Just curious, did someone post this actual footage on their Facebook or just a similar video?

Thanks

Just tested my Tudor GMT and it’s also an 8 beauts / sec.
