Today is a special day for me. I finally completed the assembly of my custom watch. It took 4 months to get all the correct parts, assemble, test and complete and after a few mess up I finally got it done. BLACKED OUT. It's a 1 of 1.

-40mm sapphire glass ceramic PVD bezel Watch Case
-29.2MM Sterile Black Leave Dial hand painted with matte black acrylic paint
-Swiss ETA 2824 automatic movement
-Generic H3 BLACK Date indicator date wheel 2557/
-WATCH HAND STICK FOR MOVEMENT ETA 2824
-Vintage perforated rubber strap

Nice! This is how it starts :). Next thing you’ll start learning how to service watches. Soon you’ll have $1000s of dollars worth of tools and consumables, and be looking at spending thousands more to get a watchmakers lathe to make replacement balance staffs and pivots. At least that was my journey :). Well worth it in my opinion to have a deep understanding of the things we spend our hard earned on, as well as an appreciation the work that goes into high end watches.

Exactly, me too. Although I’m still servicing/restoring vintage Seikos, I’ve yet to start looking into lathes. Like the OP, I began by building my own custom watches.

OP - congrats! It’s a great build, looks like you had fun and most likely learned a lot. Keep going!
