Yacht master looks way better in person

As compared to most photos on the internet

Today happen to walk past a grey dealer

The watch really stands out by being very loud

so eye catching compared to stainless steel five digit sub beside it

I like the white dial two tone follow by the blue dial

This photo doesn’t do it justice

I own the platinum dial five digits and can’t argue with your observation. It is very comfortable too to wear. The bracelet is solid link and you could feel good on wrist.

The platinum dial 116622 may have some collector value at some point given its limited run. I like my rhodium one. The upgrade to the band in the 116622 is great.

Mine is a blue dial. It’s fascinating to see it transition from deep blue to black. The watch is extremely comfortable and has a nice heft. It was my first choice when my wife gave me a blank check and instructions to buy a Rolex for my Birthday.

Blue dial is incredible. I never realized how nice it was till I actually viewed it .The forum puts so much emphasis on GMTs, subs and daytonas. I had ignored the yachtmaster . An AD had just got a delivery and put out a blue dial and a rhodium . I couldn't believe how nice they were . Even my wife questioned how come you never talk about this one .

Currently wearing a 16622 and hoping to land a new Rhodium version soon. They look amazing in person, and feel great on the wrist.

the two tone is the loudest, and white dial combination is cherry on the cake.

blue sunburst is kinda cool

Have the platinum dial. Keep thinking whether to let it go recently as it gets no wrist time, but there’s just something special about it that keeps it there in the collection. It was the first Rolex I really lusted after along with the 5 digit Pepsi.

I feel the YM is very under-appreciated. Not sure if it is because of the use of platinum, the outer edge of the bezel gives a really nice kind of spark/shine.

YM's lugs are also shaped differently than the GMT/subs, with softer lines/curves and a thinner (height-wise I think) profile. At my current age I still prefer the GMT's lug design which gives a more angular and robust presence, but after having the chance to try on a couple am starting to develop more appreciation for the YM

Is the red date wheel a modification or did it come like that?
It’s really cool
