Explorer II 216570 on a large 8.5 inch wrist

New here and I'm deciding to post this as it was impossible to find. Large wristed folk really need images to know what we can pull off.

I will admit that 42mm is close to the minimum size I can pull off, but I really think the 216570 is perfectly situated and modest on a large wrist.

These images are for the big boys who are doing research on such a watch, how it might fit etc. A review will happen once I've had substantial time with the watch, but as far as fit and comfort this is spectacular on wrists over 8" IMO.

Great watch. My 6.5" wrist is too small. My forearm is probably the size of your wrist

My opinion, it looks a bit too tiny. Maybe SD43 would do you better.

I think the Explorer looks larger than the SD43 because the crystal/dial is bigger.

It actually looks fine on your wrist size wise. It seems a little tight on your wrist though so you might want to consider adding a link

It really don't seem that way on the wrist though, because the Exp II sits so much flatter and the bezel slopes away from the crystal.

Bill Brasky buys a Rolex. It looks awesome on your wrist as the larger case size doesn't always suit those with smaller wrists! Wear it in good health.

My wrist is between 8-9 inches depending on the day.. I had a 114060 and I liked it.. I had to add a couple links to it for a comfortable fit.. I moved up to the D-BLUE and I am loving the size..

I think it looks great but you really should try the SD43.

Because of the maxi dial and large hands I think it looks great on your wrist.

Right, and as a dress piece the DJ41 is pretty rad. Quite big in person, i don't actually think it looks good on an average or below wrist, but a big wrist it just works.

Looks good on you Jon, thanks for sharing. My wrist is 7.5 inches and find the Daytona all the way up to the DSSD a great fit. A YM2 would fit you well imo

I think the SD43 actually looks smaller, since its dial is smaller and its bezel inlay so wide.

I think the size looks fine but it does look a little tight. I wear watches that vary in size - from 42mm to 34mm - so I am used to different looks. BTW - my wrist is 7"/

not just any sub! For my money the TT bluesy is the best sub. You wear it well. I wonder if other big wristed people have my reaction with watches in the flesh. I see them online and a 42 looks huge. Then I see it in-person and I'm like oh, thats it? The deepsea doesn't even feel as big as it looks in pictures.

Looks distinctively small on your wrist. I would go for a 44+ mm piece.

This looks much better. I would just position the face of the watch just a tad lower towards the 6 o’clock position on the wrist.

A Sub was my first choice but after joining TRF the consensus was that would be too small so started looking for an SD43 or DSSD but after trying on the Bluesy i couldn't see any issue with a 40mm, maybe i have a thicker rather than flatter wrist.
