I did it again..... the 16600 dweller

I can’t believe I got another one. Curse your rockin’ curves!!! This time it has lug holes

Picked it up from Jacek at tropical watches.com

Same year as my K 14060m and in amazing condition for its age.

Well done on a great pick up.

Looks as good as my unpolished Z 16600.

Enjoy wearing it.

Smaller indices & an aluminium bezel: a great looking watch I only wish it had an adjustable clasp. Even the box and the loot that came with it are better than nowerdays

It's a beauty, I purchased the same model, dated 2009, back in March, the day before lockdown.
I haven't seen it in person yet but will take collection of it on the 20th of this month. I can't wait!

The lower lugs do have some wear but I can always send it to rolliworks to have them fix it. Part of being a 20 year old watch I guess?

Congratulations. The Sea-Dweller is the only watch I bought, sold and then bought again. I’ll keep it forever.

Ha, I may end up that way too. I'm in the process of 'trading up' my 2010 Seadweller 16600 to something newer and more expensive... hopefully an Incoming next week (which I don't want to curse before it definitely happens).

However I wouldn't be completely shocked if I added a 16600 again in the future. I bought mine pre-owned about 3 years ago just as the SD43 was coming out, and it was always going to be the 16600 or the 116600 as I didn't want anything decades old and wanted a date but no cyclops which cut out the SD43, submariner, GMT, datejust, etc.

When mulling it over I decided the clasp of the 6-digit model was definitely better but I preferred the non-maxi dial and less 'busy' bezel of the 16600, which has a nice understated elegance IMHO - especially for a watch with a 1.2km depth rating!

I could see myself getting one again at some point, because it's a great watch... but hey £7-8k towards something special is more than I paid for it - and if I let it go, I can probably live with a smaller collection to store and insure!

Sorry to hijack your thread, congrats and I'm sure you'll enjoy!

I’m an idiot. It was too good a deal to pass up and the more I look at my ceramic sub, the more I can’t see past the dad gum lugs.

Plus this one is pretty sharp condition wise except a few nicks on the bottom lugs....

The 4000FT the feet are short, look at other dials the F is long. I am calling it a short FT dial....
