Well, first, don't make a fast decision-that is how poor decisions are made. I am not a fan of either of watches. But, I would opt for the seiko here as it has a date function and bezel, making it far more useful than the OP39. But it also depends on what else you have in the rotation.

Thank you sir. You cannot go wrong with the white 114300. It’s even better in person. I also own a 166710 LN and have previously owned a 14060 and I can honestly tell you there’s something special about this one. |

The only rival to OP is a Grand Seiko
so since you didn't present that as an option, I'd go for the OP. Having said that, take a minute and look at the GSes. The finishing is nearly in the league of PP, AP, VC, ALS.

Suggest you try the OP white before you buy. When I did for some reason it didn't sing, probably just me. I love it in pics though and always liked that rounded bezel too.

Don’t rush, man! And good luck, am sure you are enjoying the process! I am a fan of the OP39.

I LOVE Seiko, BUT I will buy the OP39, because Rolex have a magic for me.

I'd go with the Seiko first. Its iMHO a better watch. I like the date window. And I've never been a fan of the OP. Too plain. The OP is also a tad small for me. I might choose a DJ over the Seiko, but not the OP.

Sold 5 Grand Seiko and bought a OP 39mm White two weeks ago. Still have 3 vintage Seiko 6309 divers from 1978, 1979, and 1980.
