Help with Vintage Tudor Prince OysterDate 90500 w/ Roulette Date Wheel

Hi everyone,

First time poster so not sure if I am posting in the correct section.

I am looking at pulling the trigger on the following watch as a treat to myself for my 40th but can't tell if it is original.

The seller indicates that the individual he bought it from assured him that it was all original but I would appreciate your thoughts. I also can't tell if it is a redial and whether the indices have been re-lumed. The 11 o'clock index looks a little off in the 2nd pic. Also, I have not come across any vintage steel oysterdates that have a gold shield on the dial - it is always silver on the versions I have seen. Do the hands look original?

Anything else I should be concerned about? Lugs? Polishing? Scratches? The ask price is about $900US.

Thanks a lot.

One thing that I am pretty sure is that the roulette date wheel should not exist on this model. This red black date wheel only mostly appear during the small rose dial

Thanks mineral. Much appreciated and is enough to keep me away.

If anyone else also has some further suggestions it would be appreciated as it would help me to know what to look for in the next one.

9050/0? What is the serial?

I have had a Roulette wheel in a 9050/0 Ranger

Any other comments? Do the dial, indices and hands look okay? I know the pics aren't the greatest. Any further help is much appreciated.

Hi OP, I’d suggest you give this watch a miss. There is another clear sign that the Swiss only dial is not correct too for this watch. the original dial has been changed. This is newer or service dial.

There are many better example out there and don’t waste your time and money on this one. Hope you find the honest one soon

Thanks again mineral! And just so I'm clear, the original dial should say something other than just "SWISS" on the bottom? What should the correct dial say?
