Introducing my modest new Rolex

It gives me great pleasure to introduce my new Rolex watch.
I have picked this up 2 weeks ago from an AD here in London and I have not taken it off since (except for showering and at night). It is very comfortable to wear and the size and weight are perfect.
I know it's not one of the high end models that people go crazy about in this forum, but nevertheless for me the excitement is unmeasurable.
I have been really lucky with this one as it coincided with my birthday, making it even more special.

For anyone interested in these aspects, the crown aligns perfectly upwards and the accuracy is +5 seconds in 7 days (so less than a second a day). Also no screws were harmed during the bracelet adjustment process, the sales assistant has done an amazing job.

I have attached some recent pictures for your viewing (apologies in advance, but I had to significantly reduce the resolution so that the site would accept them).
Enjoy!

Good choice. I moved from Rolex flashy to Rolex modest last month and have not looked back.

Enjoy!

I don’t see it as modest but rather as super modern and beautiful.
Congrats, wiring some wrist shots.

The only thing I would change about your post is the title. Maybe “Let me introduce you to my SPECTACULAR new watch!”

Congrats on your beautiful new Explorer!

Thank you!
You are too kind, but I feel the precious metal GMTs, Subs and Daytonas stir a lot of emotion on this forum, Explorers and OPs a lot less.

Modest??? It is a fantastic watch and with the same quality as a Submariner or a GMT Master II, another thing is that it costs a little less, but in quality it is not inferior to any

I was even going to say only Rolex a 7k watch is modest! Great watch.

Congratulations. Don't concern yourself about folks posting their Diamomd encrusted, solid platinum case and a retina-scorching 1000 stone Pave dial.

Your reference has subtle beauty, loads of classy history simply because: almost *any* Rolex watch is cool. Wear it in good health.

Fantastic , love the Explorer, I was torn between the Explorer 1 and the AK bloodhound. I decided on the AK as it is a little more unusual, knowing I had a DJ blue dial with smooth bezel on the way as a somewhat all purpose watch.

Certainly not a modest watch, simply a great quality unpretentious time piece.

I just have to say that in the rolex line, since the explorer 1 went to 39mm, I tend to think about it as the “non-chrono” daytona.

I know rolex doesn’t position it this way, but it seems similar in many ways based on case profile and design. Many brands offer chrono and non-chrono versions of the same watch model. I’m drawing the similarities from that type of brand positioning that other manufacturers use.
