Rolex Everose GMT II 126715
Hi folks,
Last year I purchased a Milgauss Z Blue from my AD. It’s awesome and I love it. I was bored on Sunday evening and decided to mail my AD to ask if they had any Rootbeer’s in stock. They got back in touch this morning. They got the Everose in stock and put away for me to try later this week. What do you reckon? Should I put my savings down on this? Tell me your thought, is it a good Rolex to buy? Cheers, Doylum |

RG is very delicate to handle, it can be get chipped easily and stress you out.
I would rather go for two tone if you get a chance. |

It’s an amazing watch. I have the TT and I keep considering trading towards PM.

I have 2 everose watches (YM and Daytona) and they both hold up great. It’s the most beautiful metal there is, you’ll love it!

Do it, if you can afford it. That is my favorite RG piece out. If a little pricey go TT both are great

If you do have the funds however, then it is a lovely watch (not my first choice of PM, but lovely all the same). |

Not your savings. If you’ve got some mad money than absolutely, but don’t plunk everything down on a watch you can get cheaper in a few years on the used market.

What’s the heaviest watch you’ve ever owned for an extended period of time? Full PM Rolexes just aren’t comfortable for me to wear as an everyday piece, even though others do and enjoy it! But the 200ish grams of weight can be cumbersome. I’ve been lucky to scratch that itch and know it’s not for me, but sometimes that’s what it takes for you to know for yourself. I have the TT CHNR and love it. At 160g, I get some heft without feeling weighed down.

I just got mine; and love it! But don’t put your savings down, as I don’t think it will appreciate like other models.

Speaking strictly about that timepiece - it is hands down one of the best/top 3 full PM pieces in the Rolex portfolio atm. Had the pleasure of spending some time with it earlier this year and fell in love. The RG hues on this model are outrageous, in a good way obviously.

I have had it, and being RG it’s easier to get chips around the lugs.
So you have to take care of it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I think if you have great wrist awareness, then you are fine. I have the CHNR and I love the color scheme, I can only imagine how awesome the full RG is. I say get it if you can afford it!

Short of buying a day date if that style isn’t your thing, then the 126715 is the nicest full PM Rolex available. To my mind anyways.
One day I would like to own one, for now my TT CHNR does just fine. |

Obviously everyone’s lifestyle and experience with their watches are different. The fact of the matter is gold is a softer metal than steal, so technically it will ding/dent more easily. Do this make the watch fragile? No...the watch will still function perfectly fine. Think of it as an expensive shock absorber haha
At the end of the day, evaluate how you existing watches hold up to your lifestyle and how you plan to use this watch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Either way, it's not true. In the slightest bit. RG is no more "delicate" than any other gold. Having said that, however, if you've got real, scientific evidence to back your claim up, I'm all ears. OP: it's a great watch. Now, as to the question of whether it's worth you spending your savings on, that's more a question of how comfortable you are allocating your resources on a luxury item. Good luck, |

Lmao did I say it’s not a great watch? And yes I’ve had it, and it’s not something you can wear ruff and tuff. Ofcs it is not more durable than than steel, which is what I was comparing it to (vs Two tones Rootbeer). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

FWIW, I also have a full RG Daytona that my wife wears. She doesn't take care of it at all.... Still wears pretty well.

I wouldn’t recommend using your savings towards this piece, doubt it will hold value like a Daytona. But if you can safely swing it I def recommend as it is one of my favorite pm Rolex sports models!
