setting date on DJ

Hi all,

MY 16200 DJ arrived. At noon today the date jumped from 17 to 18th. I am wondering what is the best time to reset this watch to the proper date?

Also, can I wind the date back, or do I have to go forward all the way 18,19,20 etc to get back to 17th?

Please advise. :)

My best advice - read the user manual that came with your watch!

Best time is before 9pm.

Advance the date on the first crown detent to yesterday (eg 16) then advance the time on the second crown detent (going twice round 12 if PM). That way you’ll always have the AM/PM set right.

It's in French and Spanish. The watch is originally from Madrid. :)

That's pretty confusing. I'll try to work it out, thank you.

Go to the Rolex website and under the DJ models (scroll way down under any model) you can download (or simply reference) the user manual. It is in English.

You can reset the date at any time. Your date changed at noon because the hands are in PM time and your watch was reading midnight. Advance the hour hand until it is in the correct, current AM or PM time and then reset the date, advancing it forward to 17. I'm not the best at explaining things so I hope this is clear.

First, set your watch hands 12 hours forward.

Then pull the stem to the quickset date detent and set it to todays date.

You can do this whenever you want, day or night.
