Wimbledon DJ 41 or Z Milgauss
Hey Guys,
Have a few things I want to celebrate, so to do so, I'm going for another watch. I currently have a 214270 Exp 1, but am torn between the following: DJ41 Fluted Bezel Wimbledon Dial (not TT) Z Blue Milgauss Please let me know your thoughts and if so, why you support your opinion. Thanks for the help! |

Great way to celebrate - good for you! I am a horrible person to ask because I just don’t like the Milgauss. Trying to be objective to help you out, I do think it has some clout as it is so different, to have the money and pick that particular Rolex is kinda eccentric. Also I get the ability to withstand electronic fields, only Rolex like that. I just don’t like the look/the orange lightning bolt. I think if you personally love it, that is all that matters. On the other hand, I have a datejust 41, not the Wimbledon dial. The 41 fluted itself is a great watch. Comfortable and an iconic Rolex. Also, it would serve the purpose like the Milgauss of being different, stand out, with the Wimbledon dial. So long way of getting to, I vote for the Wimbledon 41.

Congrats on what you’re celebrating !
Last year I was thinking seriously about getting a Milgauss but I rarely saw anyone talking about it here (I’m new here but been reading the forum a lot way before joining). I believe it’s an extremely beautiful watch and the story behind is very interesting (since I myself have a science background haha #geek). The only thing that discouraged me from getting one was the smooth besel which I’m not a big fan of and I don’t think I will get a watch with one any time soon. On the other hand, the DJ41 with a Wimbledon dial is a hot piece ! I’d say if your AD has one, pull the trigger as they’re becoming really rare nowadays. I’ve seen it on a friend’s wrist and it looks amazing. I just got my DJ41 with silver dial, but the Wimbledon dial is something else IMHO. After all it’s a matter of taste, get the watch YOU like and connect to. Best of luck ! Envoyé de mon iPhone en utilisant Tapatalk |

I would usually say go for the DJ.
But the blue dial on that milgauss really is something special |

The DJ41. I had the AK, which is the same in form as the Milgauss, and ended up trading it. It was too thick and top heavy for my liking. Now, my own DJ41 on jubilee is comfortable enough I forget it’s there.

If it’s a one and only I would definitely go with the DJ. That would make a very nice daily. If you already have a nice dress watch then I would go with the Z Blue. It’s really nice but it’s quirky so in my opinion it would not be a good daily.

Wimbledon by a mileeeee. Granted I’d take anything over milgauss. Sooo not best opinion. On other hand I’d take Wimbledon flutted jubilee over 90% of Rolex sport models as well. Brilliant watch!

This
Is this the watch with the WG bezel. Because the fluted bezel is always a precious metal (gold), the plain bezel is SS.

What other watches do you have in your collection?
If you want to add some color I think the Z-Blue Milgauss is your best bet. It is such a fun watch to stare at in different light. I don’t notice the top-heaviness that some mention, but I wear my watch snug on the wrist. If you are looking for a watch that dresses up or dresses down well the Wimbledon DJ. This would be the dial I would choose if I were getting a DJ too. At the end of the day, you have two great options and I’m sure you will enjoy either. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Datejust.
Just a better looking watch for my taste. Also the date is a nice plus.

The Milguass blue dial is mesmerizing.
And I don't like the cyclops. I love the DJ 41 in blue and asked my AD about taking the cyclops off, she looked pained when I asked.

Like the proportions (and colorway) of the DJ better.

I’ve become quite interested in the Wimbledon dial lately, so I’ll say that one. I like the Milgauss too, but the pics on here of the DJ make it the winner for me

I'd prefer the Wimbledon personally, the Z always leaves me cold. Too much fluff added to sell what should be a straight forward technical watch, imho.

Flute Wimbledon DJ41 with jubilee is just about the best DJ they produce. The dial works so well with the jubilee IMO.
