Which Rolex

Narrowed it down to these two from my AD. Would like to hear some wisdom on dial color and practicality from the members. Black vs Silver?

Whichever you think looks better and you can see better. Personally, I like the black.

It’s a personal choice.

If I was picking one I’d go for the silver dial. I am a fan of the Rolex illuminating hour markers. I’m not a big fan of diamonds on a mens watch.

Again IMHO

I don't own either and haven't seen either in person, but from photos/videos I find the silver dial WG Daytona to be quite beautiful

Diamonds with a rubber strap? No way, very tacky. Silver for me.

I didn’t see the diamonds. 100% silver. I was close to either one, that put me over.

When I look at these two choices, the main thing that comes to mind is legibility...in the light it is probably about even. In the dark, you may miss the lume on the black one with diamonds...if so, the silver wins.

If you get one and have to have the OF strap swapped out, watch out (pun not intended) for the lugs to get very badly scratched. Very commonly reported problem.

I like the black dial as a a rule but I have to admit, the silver looks good on this model.

Which Rolex

You can’t go wrong with either the YG or WG panda dials on OF. Both are stunning, for me the YG edges out the WG in this case.

Definitely not the black dial with stones.

I'm not opposed to diamonds but this particular combo does nothing for me. I don't know if you've seen the silver dial in person but it's outstanding!
