Matching anniversary pair

I fancy the idea of getting my wife and I matching watches for our tenth anniversary. I am leaning toward the black bay 32 and 36 black. I know my wife likes the look and size. Any suggestions on a similar pair around 3 thousand USD each? Would we be better served just getting different watches we like better?

Maybe we will get an Explorer 1 and OP combo for our 20th!!

The Tudor pair above is quite nice, especially if you know your wife (and you?) already like it.

My wife and I did similar (not identical) watches for our 5th and 10th anniversary.

For the 5th, we went Tag Heuer both with a black face and the same link bracelet. Her's had a diamond bezel. Mine was a chrono (zenith el prim movement). This is one of my favorite watches still!

At our 10th anniversary, we went stainless steel Rolex...with white dials each on the same oyster bracelet. Her's was a DJ with diamond bezel, romans on the face. Mine was Daytona white face. Both classic.

In summary, I think it is up to you and your wife..whether you want identical, similar or completely different. We went with the similar style, but not identical. There are plenty of nice watches in the $3k category, so just find what you want.

The watch on the left has an amazing dial! Almost looks like a forest green color from the lighting. Good luck! Congratulations

My thoughts are you'd be better served just getting different watches you like better. A watch speaks to two things: memories and personal style. Each of you will feel more fulfilled if the watch on your wrist not only evoked the good memory, but fit your personal style.
