That is an interesting story on both accounts. The first thought in my mind was that if the person was killed, were they caring the reciept and papers with them?

Yes Darren I would have thought so, watch was Bought in Singapore
Then buyer was in the jungle in the 1955-56 Malaya conflict.

Gawd damn, he bought the Explorer from Nanking Watch? That's where I got my Seiko diver's watch in 1987! Small world.

Noope, not kidding at all! Just as well I didn't bring my papers along when I wore the Seiko in the army.

Ed thought it might interest you with the Singapore theme.
I remember a watchmaker down by Clark key cannot remember
the name.He changed a crystal and regulated a watch for me
in less than a hour.
