If I regularly dressed up enough to wear one, I’d have one. Beautiful piece.

If you're unsure whether or not you should buy it, you probably shouldn't.

id like one. very expensive in terms of what else you can buy for that money though, too many other options id put in front.

if you have a few watches already then i think go for it.

I believe the Cellini range are great looking watches and would love to add one to my collection however to me they are not a watch I would wear on a regular basis and probably not during the day as such I couldn't justify spending the money on one.

I would pass. It’s an odd watch to me. At first glance I think it’s pretty nice. But it’s one of those watches where the more I look at it the less I like it, especially in comparison to moon phase watches from other brands.

Selling for less than msrp in gray market. It's a beautiful timepiece but too dressy for my lifestyle.

I have one and love it. Super comfortable and fairly simple even w the moon complication. When the sun hits the Date hand it really shows the blue hue. I’m in the minority here, but I like the watch and I would say add it. There are definitely other dress watches in the same price range that are also awesome and arguable better, but ultimately up to you.

For that kind of money you shouldn't have to ask fellow members. You should be madly in love with and clearly you're not.

Also as others have stated I think you can get more bang for that kind of buck with other brands.

If you love it, get it. It really is that simple. If you don't then don't. If unsure, wait....

It's a really nice piece. Tried one on and loved it. However it would need to come with a decent discount as the MSRP is a bit steep compared to others. The moon dial is beautifully executed. Better than many other makes.

It's a beautiful watch, but like any other, you'd have to decide if it's right for you based on your own preferences and lifestyle.

It looks really nice. However, at that price point and for that style, I would go with other brands. Lange and JLC come to mind. I would also say FP Journe but that's about $5-10k more at least.

Beautiful watch!
I like the solid case back and the overall design..
A service wont kill ya like an FPJ...
I dont like that its not waterproof..
And maybe a special occasion watch only..
But if they discontinue it..maybe it will go up in value..
Or..
Maybe not..lol..
Only get at a discount and if you are 100% thrilled w/it..

Thank you all for your kind and valid comments.

Thought about it and searched my heart on this piece. Really didn’t feel the liking. Went to Lange just now and their moonphase watches are much more appealing indeed.

Shall pass Cellini Moonphase. Thanks guys for everything.

I’ve had a couple of modern Cellinis; I think they get treated unfairly on the forum....they’re not “sports’ watches, quite deliberately, but they are perfectly fine for everyday wear. 50metres water resistance with screw-down crown. Same movement as a ‘tough’ Rolex, the gold case can dent, just like every other Rolex.
They’re just elegant, well-made Rolex models with the quality and reliability that implies. You think acJLC or Lange would be as durable, or easily serviced? Not my experience.
Incidentally, in some ways I preferred my Cellini to my DayDate 40. Just more elegant and subtle.

It's a great looking watch but doesn't fit my lifestyle. I'd be looking at other brands like Patek, AL&S, JLC and IWC if I were in the market for a dress watch.

I would hard pass. Although it is a nice looking watch, there are better choices in this category with more higher levels of detail and horology.
