Screwdriver for Jubilee link removal (126334)

AD and boutiques are closed, so going to order a screwdriver to remove links myself. Can someone please assist on the screwdriver size for a jubilee (126334)?

Bergeon 6899 1.6mm will do the trick.

Jubilee bracelet uses 1.3mm screwdriver. If you can't find one, 1.2mm should work too.

I thought they used loctite on the bracelets so beware that you don't damage the screws. It's possible that you need to heat it up a little.

I thought I could adjust my own bracelet but I couldn't and I was scared to damage it so I let my AD do it (last december).

Oh man... would love some more opinions as this would be the first time I’d adjust a bracelet

Great video there to walk you through it. Also, I should've read your details more instead of skimming, 1.6mm is for oyster bracelet and roadrunner is correct for the jubilee. Best advice is take your time!

a 1.6mm will be too big iirc. You need a 1.3mm tip and make sure it is a hollow ground. you can heat the ends opposite the screw head to loosen up the initial loctite.

Thanks. I’m getting conflicting information re: screw size

This one's got all the bits you'll ever need to work on a watch, phone, laptop, or electronics:
https://www.amazon.com/ORIA-Precisio...ef_=ast_sto_dp

Just heat the threaded end on the links and the screw should drive out fine.

You need the Horofix 2100. Can be had at Esslinger.com. Has both the 1.3mm and 1.7mm hollow ground tips.

If you have this drive, plus a magnifier it’s easy to do.

Please don't get this. Like I said you need hollow ground tips or else you risk damaging the screw head.

Get this one OP. It has both tips for jubilee and oyster. Again, the jubilee has smaller screws (1.3mm)

Screwdriver for Jubilee link removal (126334)

Not to hijack but I got no traction in the watch tech forum.

I have the burgeon 7825, can I use it to remove the clasp from the bracelet? Want to fit the clasp on an Everest band. Any suggestions how to get the clasp off?

The tweezers are to remove the bracelet from the case. The screwdriver is to remove the clasp. On a jubilee bracelet you need 1.3mm tip. On an oyster bracelet you need 1.7mm. The Horofix 2100 comes with both tips.

That will not work. Too big for jubilee. You need 1.3mm.

I answered your question in the tech section.

Just thought I’d add another recommendation for the Horofix 2100. This tool has served my needs very well and I’ve had no issues even after multiple uses. This is definitely money well spent!
