New Rolex announcements.

Last month when I was at my AD picking up my GMT the SA told me that he heard from his Rolex rep that they were going to announce the new models on Aug 1st and then have them at AD's for sale on Sept 1st. Anyone else hear this. If it is true we could know more as soon as Saturday.

I’m curious to know whichever date it may be, do they announce in US or Swiss time?

I was told Rolex was going to tease something in August. But who knows.

It's possible. When Rolex dropped the 126660 James Cameron back in 2014, they were in stores within a few days.

Since Europe pretty much shuts down in August for the summer holiday (even with CV19) I'd think any new product announcement would be at the beginning of September.

I believe September 1 is basically confirmed at this point -- we've heard it from a lot of sources. If so, Rolex has basically just skipped Basel but otherwise run 2020 like usual -- watches are hitting stores right when they would have even with a spring announcement.

Tudor basically just did this with the new BB58 Blue also. People were getting them immediately after the announcement.

it will be an updated sub, whether it is the LV or just the plain jain sub, IMO it'll be that. Or Coke. Next year will be ceramic exp II time.

I am holding myself from being excited, no matter what new models will be announced they won’t be available for one or two hundred years.

I watched a video from Theo & Harris and he said the same thing, watches will be at the store on Sept 1.

I already asked my SA if I will maintain my #1 spot for the next 126711 CHNR even if changes were made to it, and she said yes. So...if a jubilee Rootbeer is there on the first, I am getting it. I already have 2 watches with an Oyster bracelet, I won't mind mixing it up with a Jubilee.

The Jubilee is ridiculously comfortable. Love it on my BatMAN. Plus it’s good at hiding hairlines. So it’d be better for the rose gold. If it is released I’ll ask my AD to order me a bracelet and swap them.

I have it on good authority that a new movement Sub is all but guaranteed.

I doubt they let you do that. I asked if I could order a jubilee for my DJ41 which I bought in May, and I was told that if the watch didn't come with that bracelet, you can't order it.

Ive also read that AD’s are no longer taking orders for OP39’s. I suspect is there going to be a movement upgrade there too. Id personally like if the OP39’s dials got the same treatment as the black and white models, i.e. lumed indices all around and maybe even a green dial variant like the OP34! Too go a step even further maybe have the seconds hand the same colour as the pips featured on the dial of that variant with the exception of the black and white as they’re already classically perfect!
