34mm wrist shots, average-large wrist size??
Hi all i am interested in adding a 34mm watch to the collection, i already have an OP 36mm which i love.
Problem is i have 7 1/2 inch wrists and whilst i like the idea of a smaller watch for everyday comfort i don't want it to be too small. Does anyone have any wrist shots of 34mm watches on similar sized wrists? For information i am undecided on either a modern OP 34mm or an earlier piece (maybe even birth year-1967??) Thanks

This will help you gauge whether a 34 mm is a candidate for you. You probably already know this, but modern Rolex 34 mm will wear larger than vintage era 34 mm, so the modern might be a safer bet. If you have an AD nearby, it's definitely worth it to go try one on. I'm pretty sure they'll have at least one example of a 34 there, as the larger sizes are much more en vogue now. Best wishes! |

With 7.5" wrist, I think most people would go for 40 mm.
Size is totally personal preference, if you prefer on smaller size, I think 36 mm would looks more proportion to your wrist than 34mm. |

Definitely comes down to personal preference. I have a roughly 6.5 wrist and 34mm looks fine(AK) on my wrist. Only time it ever feels a bit small is if I wear say my Seiko Monster for a while and then suddenly put on the AK. But it feels normal after a few hours. 34mm is a classic size inmho.

should be fine with long sleeve clothing or suit, may look small with T-shirts.

Depends of the watch and bracelet. I’ve tried a 35mm VC which looked fine, while a 34mm DJ looks minuscule, and a 36 fine.

34mm will probably look like you are wearing your wife's watch. For your wrist size I would probably keep the 36mm as a minimum.

34mm on a 7.5 wrist might be pushing it. But i’d love to see pics from others

My father-in-low (Mean-looking Russian Motherfucker, 2 meters tall, hands as big as my face, wrist as thick as my thighs, Officer in the Russian Army) wears what I believe is a womens watch. Something like a 32-34mm, ultra thin quartz watch on a thin+narrow bracelet.
If you like it, wear it. Don't let anyone tell you it's too small if you're enjoying it. If so, let them think what they like. |

There you go! 7.5 inch wrist here. I really like goe it wears, very light and comfy. Another picture for comparison on how it sits on my wife's wrist.
