My first 5 digit
This is my first 5 digit Rolex and I am glad I made the move!
I was waiting on a 126710blro for quite a while with no luck at retail. I originally was drawn to the GMT because of the 16750 and 16710. I love the look of the aluminum bezels and the more I looked into them, the less I had a desire for the 126710. I finally realized that I had been caught in the hype of wanting the unobtainable. I decided I go for what had drawn me to the GMT in the first place and began the search. I got some sound advice in the vintage forum that steered me to the 16710. I had originally planned on a birth year era 16750 but the modern aspects of the 16710 will probably suit my lifestyle better. Mainly the sapphire crystal. Fast forward a few months and I ended up landing on a no holes case 16710N(3185) with an oyster bracelet. I ended up bundling with a new Pepsi bezel insert and stumbled on a 62510h jubilee at a decent price a few days later. Now all I need is a Coke insert that isn’t ridiculously priced and I will have 6 watches in 1. Coming from only ever owning 6 digit sports models, this watch is extremely comfortable! I was surprised at how well it wears and on the jubilee it is next level!! The versatility is fantastic with multiple bezel options and 2 completely different bracelets. I knew I would love this watch but I appreciate it way more than expected! I am glad I changed course and went this route. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

What a beauty, congrats brother! These 5 digits are a slippery slope to other slim case Rolex watches.

Congrats on picking up your 16710 and hardware - looks great! I'm a recent buyer as well for the same reasons - create 6 different looks with one case. I have the coke and pepsi inserts and will probably pick up a black one day. Right now I'm enjoying the coke and having second thoughts of swapping inserts or bracelets - it looks too good!!!

Enjoy, it looks great. The Jubilee bracelet is the most comfortable to me.

You won’t regret the decision. The 16710 was my first Rolex. Sold it some time ago and now have a 16750, but there are times I miss the more “modern” SEL bracelet and sapphire crystal of the 16710. Enjoy it!

Congrats on your new watch & yes I strongly agree the 16710 is the best of both worlds in regards to Neo Vintage.

Looks killer! The five digits really are more comfortable, aren’t they?

Great pick-up. Better all around than the 6-digits.

Congrats! For some it’s like a switch flips when you get your hands on a 5-digit, and everything about it feels just right. I wear my 16710 and 16600 a lot now, and my Hulk has moved to #3 in terms of wrist time.

16710 beats the 126710BLRO
Keep it red/blue on oyster .I wouldn't fool around with jubilee and red/black inserts . Nice one ! |

Well done on picking up the "perfect" watch
can you post a picture with the jubilee fitted? i am seriously considering picking one up the coke was my choice but the pepsi bezel is lovely too - i even bought the clock to add to my full set Z series 16710 i am finding the 5 digit "thing" very addictive and just added a 2011 16570 explorer 2 i now want a no date sub 14060M - as ever this whole watch thing is so darned addictive
