Hey all,

For Sale: Not one you see every day, a Rolex Air-King ref 5500 Super Precision variant on it’s original rivet oyster bracelet.

Why you should consider it:

• The Air-King is known for its simple, no-frills design. It has everything you need and nothing you don’t
• Uncommon variant with “Super Precision” on the dial and the automatic cal 1530
• Overall in very good condition with beautiful patina on hour plots and hands
• One of the longest running Rolex references ever. Launched in the late 1950s, ref 5500 was in production until 1989.

Condition: Overall condition is very good. Case is thick. Dial is clean. Slight oxidation on the hands which is not uncommon after almost 60 years. Bracelet has some stretch though it remains better than most I’ve seen from this era and fits a 7.25” wrist. Crown screws in as it should. Movement is clean, watch runs immediately when picked up and keeps time within 10-15 seconds/day - very good for a 60s timepiece.
