Hi, this is only my second post on this forum.. But... Is there a way to micro adjust the bracelet on my new GMT Master II? I have heard that there are only three micro adjustments on it.. How do I make the bracelet just a bit smaller?

Hi and welcome to TRF.

Since the micro-holes don't go all the way through the clasp, the job can be tricky. If it's just a minor adjustment, take it in to your watchmaker and he will adjust it while you wait in a few minutes.

The new GMT Bracelet has three micro setting positions....and of course removable links....the set-up allows you to adjust the bracelet effectively in "one third of a link length" increments....like this....bracelet in it's maximum length config with the spring bar in the micro recess closest to the end of the clasp....next adjustment, simple, move the spring bar to the middle micro recess, you have shortened the bracelet by one third of a link......next adjustment move the spring bar to the micro recess furthest into the clasp, now it's adjusted shorter by two thirds of a link......next adjustment, remove a link, put the spring bar back in the micro recess closest to the end of the clasp, now it is shortened by one full link.....repeat the process to shorten in one third increments, obviously 'till you run out of removable links......the "comfort" link is supposed to give an extra half a link, in my opinion that seems about right.....I found the bracelet very easy to adjust to fit my wrist which is small.....hope I haven't dumbed this down too much, certainly wasn't meant to read like that.....just a step by step "how to"...hope it helps

is equal to

connect the sping bar at middle hole while comfort link closed

is that correct?

No. There is a minor difference of 1-2mm. Shorter that is for the middle hole option.

ic, thanks, better ask first b4 adjusting, it is so difficult to take it out and put it back without a mini fork.
