PP 5396R-001 vs. 5396G-013 vs. 5212A vs. FPJ CS
Looking to buy a new watch and was hoping for some feedback.
Have been looking at these watches. I am planning it to wear when dressed casually. Which one would you choose? And why? Patek Philippe AC 5396R-001 Patek Philippe AC 5396G-013 Patek Philippe weekly calender 5212A F.P. Journe Chronometre Souverain Havana |

The Journe is the better looking and designed watch. It will be better finished too.
BUT, the others offer something else (calendar, moonphase etc) and so apples and oranges really. |

Havana is my least favourite, the colour does nothing for me. I would and did choose the 5212A but definitely on a different strap.

Havana hands down, for the reasons Jay mentioned. Remember a moonphase (automatique lune) edition also exists.

Which one is your choice? I’d go for the first one. RG annual calendar sector dial.

Havana! I don't like any of the Patek ACs nor the weekly calendar.

5212A - it is the most casual of the bunch, and - although complex - the dial face is more balanced than the Journe.

A thought I had today about the 5212: what if they colored white the day and month hands but left the red tips since some people complain about how busy the face was with five hands? Would this look weird?

Havana..
and when you flip the watch over, it's even easier to pick the winner. FPJ movement is much prettier. Last edited by JCC296; 20 August 2020 at 05:15 PM.. Reason: added more comment |

Easy chocie with the Journe Havana, and i've had about 10 Pateks over the years. We all know FPJ is 'next level excellence'.

I have both Havana and PP5212 Weekly Calendar and they are both great watches. Try PP5212 on a vintage strap and is versatile for all occasions. : )

I like both the 5396 and the FPJ.
Think I’d choose the FPJ though. The dial is just so cool. |

Havana. I’ve tried it on, looks great. Had other financial commitments at the time, did not pull trigger.
I am a Patek owner and admirer, but the Havana is really attractive. |
