Hi guys, I'm not really a Rolex aficionado so I'm sure this comes as a stupid question. I've been offered this Rolex for a very reasonable price and as such obviously had doubts about it's authenticity. Just wondering if any of you could help shed some light on if it was real or not?

It’s fake buddy.

The modern gmt has not been released in that color yet.

The red and black ones that are legit have a different case shape as they are older models.

That’s all I will say because we can’t really discuss fakes here.

Let me guess, you were offered what should be a 10k+ watch for 1k and asking if it's the deal of the century? Use your head.

Also if you can't even tell that this model doesn't exist in Rolex's lineup, then don't even bother try buying from anywhere other than an Authorized Dealer.

This watch represents a ceramic version of the earlier non-ceramic red/black model. A model that Rolex does not yet make.

A tad bit harsh. As OP stated, he's not a Rolex aficionado, so he won't notice signs that are obvious to someone who's been looking at these watches for some time.

But the watch is a fake. The easy give away are the fonts on the bezel.

Well that gives more reason for OP to buy from a reputable seller than the person he's inquiring about that piece of crap from.

Easier give away is that colour bezel doesn't even exist!
