NO SS BLUE SUB... ok and now what?

Maybe like me you were extremely excited waiting for a new and amazing SS blue sub... but you know, it was not the case.

So the question is now what?

I really want a high quality SS blue diver. Period.
In your humble opinion, what do you think are the best options out there to fulfill that desire?

Let’s try to find all together great alternatives.
Maybe some of these?

Glashutte SEAQ 39.5mm

Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Bathyscape blue 43.6mm

Omega seamaster 300m 42mm

Tudor Pelagos

Panerai???

What do you think?
Do you want to play?

Lots of great options. Can't go wrong with Tudor or Panerai, and that Omega looks great.

Its hard to beat a Seamaster. Half the price of a Rolex, equal on terms of quality and it's available now.

As mentioned a few times above, Tudor Black Bay 58.
39mm, almost the size of a Rolex Sub.
Larger indices and hands for an easier read.
As well built and accurate, and has a fine in-house movement.
Better specs than the Rolex, . . . and . . . get this . . . half the cost.

I have the Pelagos LHD Tudor, and I am on a quest now to get the BB58 for the above reasons. Plus it will be a nice addition to have a blue Sub-type watch to go along with the black Rolex 14060M.

Tudor makes an amazing product and that is why I will be a return customer.

I will go for Omega or Tudor BB. I cannot get into Blancpain. Among other things I dislike date windows at the 4 o'clock location...

Gotta agree with the Tudor recommendations. Blue Pelagos or BB 58 Blue. Or why not both!

Wait?

You mean all the confirmed AD announcements and internet announcements were not correct? How is this possible? They are always right, AD's know everything and the internet always has the best info!

Not on the BB 58. But other BBs do, such as the GMT.

I think that the key is what are you really looking for, all the watches you have mention are available, no Rolex style waiting list. So why wait for the announcement from Rolex that they are continuing with the black and green sub, if you want a blue Rolex it is going to costa hell of a lot more than the standard Sub.

If I had the ability to buy any of the watches mentioned then it would have to be the Glashutte, simply because it is a class above Rolex in terms of watchmaking but not in marketing.

Otherwise it would be the Omega.

Good luck on your search, I hope you find what you are looking for.

Thanks for your suggestions.

My intention with this thread was to discuss openly about some alternatives because others can be in similar situation.

....and people had confirmed information that the cyclops would be integrated.....yeah all that went really well. Honestly, what is surprising is that this sort of stuff isn't coming from teenagers trying to impress their buddies in the lunch room it's coming from grown adult men.

Great watch. What about the lume issue in the minutes hand that some people mentioned? Is it something that you notice?

The line is fine and bright. However, I do wish all the lume was blue.

Blancpain FF is true haute horology and has provenance to rival the Submariner. I’ve always loved the aesthetics, just hard to justify the significant premium given the value proposition offered by the Submariner.

For your consideration. Seiko SLA039. Or go with the SLA037 if you want a smaller watch. Doesn’t float your boat? 100% Tudor BB58 blue than.

Wait a year until they release the blue bezel sub in ss.

Then wait 3 more years until you can actually get it.
