New Kermit vs 2020 Bluesy comparison
You may have seen my other thread, I was lucky enough to get the cKermit yesterday.
Just thought I'd do a quick side by side with the Bluesy for size comparisons, I know many people are keen to understand the differences between the new case and the supercase, so I hope this helps. The new case is more refined and elegant, but not a huge amount of difference when it comes to how it wears on the wrist, I think that the slimming down has helped maintain its overall wrist presence and it doesn't feel any bigger than previous models. I'm a fan of the return to form by Rolex, it's what I've wanted to see for a long time! Now let's get those GMTs slimmed down! Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk

Looks like a beauty! Congrats. These are great pics. So from this, my opinion is an improvement, I want an additional one, but would’t trade up, especially to the same one. Maybe from black to Kermit, TT or Gold, but I can’t justify trading my 114060 for the new one when they really do look similar. Do you agree?

Congrats!
I will say for better or worse the new Sub looks exactly like the last Sub with a 21mm bracelet and larger hour hand. I think Rolex played a visual trick on us like the Black Bays. The change is not as dramatic as I think some would expect. Regardless love both the new and old versions of the 6 digit. |

Congrats! I will say that the green bezel in your pics looks substantially better (brighter, less milky) than in some others pics I’ve seen. Guess it really depends on the lighting.

The hands look larger. Could you please measure both of the cases so we can know if new sub is actually 41mm. Thank you

Agree. I think it still look square on the wrist, especially if I'm not wearing reading glasses and I can't discern lug from bracelet, so I'm not in a hurry to get a new ND but I'm sure I will.

These make for a great combo! Thank You for posting these pictures! This is the best comparison I have seen. They have calmed my urges, and reassured me that I am happy with my older 6 digit sub! Congratulations on the Cermit!

Thank you for sharing! It might be my eyes, but the case and bezel on the Cermit look thinner/ lower profile than on the bluesy

Thanks for posting. I really do not see a radical difference. I will hold my prior generation Subs, which are now collector's items.

Great photos. Congrats on the Cermit!
Seeing them both together, I don’t see a lot of difference other than a visual trick of lug/bracelet quantity. Either way, looks good but it’s not the huge difference I thought it was when I saw in isolation yesterday. Green looks great btw |

Thanks for the pic.
The dial and case stand out nicely with the Bluesy/supercase. The new case with wider bracelet looks like a more cohesive whole and is well-proportioned, but also is more generic and loses the focus on the heart of the watch. Up to the beholder to decide which is “better”. |

Big congrats. Seeing these new LV subs already getting posted has quickly up'd my eagerness to get one ASAP. At first I was thinking "I'm fine waiting a year for one" but now I am hoping my SA will get me one a lot quicker than that.
Regarding the lugs comment on GMTs. I think the current GMT line-up already reflects a major step forward from the prior maxi case models. While it's subtle to the human eye, there is a stark difference in fit/comfort when I wear my original BLNR compared to my Pepsi on jubilee. Braelet is obviously part of that difference, but the lugs/case do make a difference. |

New style looks nice but I can’t really see many trading from the previous incarnation as not enough difference, but I can see many people wanting to add the new version as I hopefully will, if ever available. Congrats by the way.

The ruler is just for aesthetics, I got my vernier calipers out and I can state the following measurements
Lug to lug: 27.25mm Case width: 41.00mm Bezel ring height: 2.55mm End link: 21.00mm Case flank thickness: 5.00mm Overall thickness 12.55mm The Mercedes hand is definitely larger but I'm unable to quantify exactly by how much. All measurements given are subject to some margin of error, but I hope this helps the TRF community. J Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk
